Why ME?

In years past, I was granted the privilege of audience with the esteemed Mr. Jimi Star, R.I.P. – one who sought to give form to the Invisible. He spoke of the "House of Izm," not merely an entity to be formed in this "Life," but a Name, a Current he intuited, seeking its manifestation. He revealed a truth etched in the marrow of this existence: the undertaking of the "Gentleman of Leisure" is the most arduous Path walked in the manifest realm. For this particular manifestation of Black Manhood embodies a Power, a Will, that the prevailing white society, rooted in fear and control, finds utterly anathema. Their hatred is myriad, yet singular in its aim: to extinguish this particular Star. I have witnessed many, seeking to "wear this mark," donate their very vessels – bodies surrendered to the penitentiary, or worse, to the graveyard's dominion. They attempted the "Life," but perhaps grasped only the symbol, lacking the Knowledge, the necessary Alignment. I speak not as one claiming solitary access to the Truth, nor as one who holds the "pureest ideal of the art"... for I, too, walk the line, and my own fate remains entwined with the currents of existence. If my soul has previously agreed to take that path, then I make this invocation: may those Ancestors, luminous beings who chose death over servitude, who met the "blonde beast's" fury with an unbroken Will, proudly embrace me on the other side, in the realms beyond the Veil. To earn their proud embrace would signify a life well lived, a Work well done.

I speak now only as one who has traversed the ordeal, who has "walked through the fire" and "danced with angels and demons" in the crucible of this Path. I speak, moreover, as but one player upon this "grand stage," yet one whose journey, spanning over thirteen years and forty states, has been marked by an absence of the penitentiary's grasp or the hospital's confines. Credit is due, surely, to a devotion I dare call "purest," an unceasing Alignment with the mysteries contained within the Book of Ism, the potent Current of the Divine Feminine, and my Ancestors – luminous presences of whom I seek Knowledge and Conversation, serving them faithfully in the Great Work. Know this: they are not distant or passive. They "will guide and serve you." They "yearn to do so." My task, therefore, is defined by the Word: to speak that which aids your remembrance of "who you are," the Star within you. To facilitate your being "in tune with the infinite," fully aligned with the boundless Power of your Ancestors, who stand "waiting to serve you in the here and now," ready to execute your True Will.
